Grupo Carrefour Brasil reinforces professional inclusion initiatives for minority groups
October 14, 2021.
Committed to the inclusion and appreciation of diversity throughout its ecosystem, Grupo Carrefour Brasil will carry out in the coming weeks actions specifically aimed at hiring people in refugee situations, transgender people and people with disabilities. The initiative is valid for all Carrefour units in Brazil and has opportunities in various functions.
With several editions throughout the year, the so-called D-Days and Weeks consist of special dates aimed at hiring professionals with specific profiles. With this initiative, the company has been contributing to the professional insertion of people from minority groups, reinforcing its commitment to increasing the diversity of its workforce.
“Diversity is a principle that we do not give up. We promote professional insertion for minority groups because we understand that work is one of the main factors of social inclusion and that the retail sector is an important gateway to the labor market”, says Kaleb Machado, Manager of Diversity and Inclusion of Grupo Carrefour Brasil.
To apply on D-Day, one of the prerequisites is that the person identifies with Carrefour’s purpose of contributing to a better world, applying this behavior throughout all their relationships. The vacancies are for all of Brazil and have different hours according to the function to be performed. There are opportunities for a cashier, stockbroker, butcher, baker, fishmonger, inspection agent, distribution center operators, pharmacists, gas station attendant and convenience store operator, in addition to other positions in both corporate and operations.
All stages of the selection process take place online, with the exception of the interview with the manager, which is carried out in person so that the candidate can visit the unit and view the function that will be performed. • D-Day for Refugee Inclusion: October 14th;
