Grupo Carrefour Brasil launches black talent acceleration program
September 24, 2021.
Committed to diversity and valuing talent, Grupo Carrefour Brasil launches its career acceleration program aimed at black professionals, Talentos do Futuro 2021: Black Leadership. Unlike usual in trainee programs, Talentos do Futuro is not focused on newly graduated professionals. The objective is to accelerate the career of talents who have already entered the job market, but have not yet assumed leadership positions.
“There is a large number of professionals who do not find growth opportunities in the companies they operate. As a Group, we have the role of working to transform this reality. We need to value the potential of black talent and think about the development of these professionals”, highlights Cristiane Lacerda, Director of Human Resources for Grupo Carrefour Brasil.
The acceleration program will last 18 months, with a starting salary of R$7,500. The 20 vacancies available are aimed at professionals with complete higher education, from all over the country, with no age limit or specific training area requirement. Fluency in another language will not be a prerequisite.
“The look at diversity and inclusion needs to be deepened in organizations. In addition to having diverse professionals on our staff, we need this diversity to be reflected in leadership positions. With this program, we seek to accelerate the career of afro-descendant talents who will become leaders in the corporate structure of Grupo Carrefour Brasil”, explains Cristiane Lacerda. Also according to Cristiane, one of the program’s differentials is the one-and-a-half year training process that includes an international module, which should be held in France, where Carrefour’s Global headquarters are located.
Throughout the program, those selected will also undergo training in agile methodologies, leadership training, in addition to an immersion in topics related to technology and innovation. Grupo Carrefour Brasil will also pay for language training, if necessary. After 18 months, the new leaders will present a project focused on social responsibility and inclusion that will be added to the other programs to combat racism carried out by Grupo Carrefour Brasil.
In all, 20 external vacancies will be offered with operations in São Paulo. Selected candidates, who reside in other states, will receive a subsidy for the move. In addition, all participants in the acceleration program will receive benefits such as transportation and meal vouchers; life insurance; health care; dental care; discounts at partner companies; meal on site; and company profit sharing (PLR). Employees of Grupo Carrefour Brasil, who meet the requirements, will also be able to participate in the Program, competing for additional vacancies.
The selection of professionals will be made in partnership with Cia de Talentos and will have five stages, all of them carried out online. The start of the Program is scheduled for January 2022 and those interested can register until November 10, at the website: http://liderancanegracarrefour.ciadeexperts.com.br/
Through this program, Grupo Carrefour Brasil reinforces its commitment to society to seek, increasingly, inclusion and racial equality within companies.
